NHS Health Trainers in Barnsley

£11,698 unqualified rising to £16,110 pa if qualified
Fixed term until October 2014
37 Hours per week

PSS are working with Barnsley PCT to deliver Barnsley NHS Health Trainers programme, a Government initiative to reduce health inequalities. Barnsley NHS Health Trainers are a new and dynamic workforce based in and working in communities across Barnsley, supporting individuals to make healthier lifestyle choices.

The main role of a NHS Health Trainer is to offer support, motivation and encouragement, signposting to services, making referrals to appropriate agencies (that can help people to make a lifestyle change) and to work with people on a one to one basis to plan out the journey to a healthier lifestyle.

You will receive high quality, accredited training and development to undertake this role. You will have good communication skills, experience of working with individuals and/or communities and an interest in health and well-being.

PSS SCOTLAND

Relief Support Workers
£7.11 (qualified) or £6.64 per hour
To work as and when required by the projects in Scotland
Ref: SS/RSW

We are looking for conscientious and enthusiastic applicants with a flexible approach, to provide support with activities of daily living to individuals across all Scotland Projects. Applicants must have the ability to work independently, but also contribute to and enhance our current staff team. Good communication skills and practical domestic skills are essential for this position, together with a genuine commitment to work with people with a wide range of complex needs.

This post is regulated work with protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, in the event that you are offered this post you will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.

Relief Support Workers
£6.64 or £7.11 (with a relevant qualification)

We are looking for conscientious and enthusiastic applicants with a flexible approach, to provide accommodation based care and support for adults with a wide range of disabilities or mental health issues.

Applicants must have the ability to work independently but also contribute to and enhance our current staff team. We need people who are genuinely committed to providing quality support services for people with a wide range of needs.

Good communication skills are essential to this role as is the ability to carry out practical domestic duties.

Relief support workers work ‘as and when needed’ covering for staff absences, holidays and training.
